L'histoire de Jumbo Tourisme (Péruwelz) débute en 1986. Axel Vanderhoudelingen, assureur et agent immobilier à Bury, n'a aucune expérience dans le domaine du bus et du car. Pourtant, soutenu par son épouse, il décide de se lancer en créant sa propre société. Par envie. Par défi. Peut-être un peu par jeu aussi. Collectionneur d'éléphants miniatures, il donne le nom Jumbo Tourisme à son bébé, un nom qui sonne, et lui apprend à marcher... Jumbo Tourisme a aujourd’hui la taille que son créateur souhaitait lui voir atteindre. Une taille qui lui permet de garder son caractère familial et de proximité.
